This
was the original interior entrance
to the Home for Orphans of Odd Fellows
of Pennsylvania and was designed by
renowned Philadelphia architect Frank
Furness. The doors and transom were
in great disrepair and were in danger
of being replaced during the building’s
reconstruction. In the spirit of preservation,
Firethorn proposed a complete restoration
of the entrance. Every component was
removed, brought to our workshop,
rebuilt, restored, and then reinstalled
at the location where finishes were
expertly applied to bring this historic
entrance back to life.
